Had another cute lunch date with Matt again today. This time at a cute little park right near Darling Harbour that I miraculously had never noticed before. Some kind of Sydneyan I am. It was so hot today, but given that it's still technically winter I can't bring myself to not wear tights just in case the weather decides to do what it's supposed to do and become cold. 

I found this top in a little designer studio on the streets of Mykonos and love it so much. I have a feeling I may actually be starting to wear the material out in places. But at least I'm getting my moneys worth!

Wonderland

I’m not going to lie, this outfit appeals to me because I feel like Alice from Alice in Wonderland when I wear it. I feel like I should be having tea with the Mad Hatter whenever I put on these white stockings! But it’s also just the perfect outfit for warmer Winter days. 

I loved shooting in this garden too. It’s like a small oasis, found in the middle of an area surrounded by traffic and construction. The moment you step inside all that stuff seems to drift away. The bench under the archway is always beautiful in spring too. I used to go there with my high school boyfriend and drink slurpees under the flowers. Such a romantic back then! Haha.

Shoes

I get so many questions on Tumblr about my shoes that I’ve simply stopped replying because my generic response is ‘I’ll take photos soon’ but given that I am forever wearing the crown of procrastination this has never actually happened. So at 4am when most normal people are sleeping (except 90% of Tumblr’s population who make me feel more normal) I made a video. I hate watching myself on video so please don’t judge! But apart from that, enjoy for ramblings about nothing!

My friend Paigge and I went to the Surry Hills markets yesterday and seriously, we could not have wished for better weather. It was so nice to go out for the day stockings free! After a rocky start (I may or may not have slept in and put our entire day in peril) we managed to get there before it finished and have a good look around.

Paigge is an extremely skilled thrift shopper and it only took ten minutes and one stall before she was already carrying a bag of carefully selected items. Although not as good as Paigge, I did manage to pick up a new dress and some sunnies. The guy I am dating has been making fun of my round ones (seen above) nonstop, so I finally relented and figured maybe some variety might not be so bad. 

We also went to American Apparel which, although it’s ridiculously overpriced, was still very successful, managed to pick up some white stockings which I’ve been looking for for ages. And no postage!!

Alice

I went with a friend to Alice McCall today, because we’d been drooling over the website for so long that it was definitely time to go and try on a few things. The dress I really wanted is cheaper on the website, but at least I know it fits now! The new collection has so many classic, clean cut pieces I think adding at least one to your wardrobe is an investment that is well worth the price tag. 

I’m so glad I finally managed to get a picture of this oversized blazer too. I’ve been wearing it non-stop since my mum gave it to me a few weeks ago. She bought it in 1991 and I’m so glad she’s held onto it for so long. Because now it’s mine! I have a thing for oversized and baggy things at the moment so it has been the perfect addition to my wardrobe.

On a rather unrelated note, I have a friend who is in England at the moment and has made home base there at a relative’s house which has given me the amazing opportunity to go wild on H&M (who devastatingly don’t ship to Australia). So as soon as she gets back you can definitely expect them to be high rotation (and accordingly make too many appearances on my blog).
